Our self-catering Northumberland holiday cottage is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the edge of the North Pennines, on the Northumberland / County Durham border. This cosy one bedroom holiday cottage has stunning views of farming and North Pennine fell land and is a perfect retreat for a single person or couple wishing to enjoy the unspoilt Northumberland countryside whilst being within easy reach of local attractions, such as Hadrian’s Wall, Newcastle city centre and Durham.
Situated on the edge of a farm and minutes from the Derwent Reservoir, Derwent View Cottage is an ideal rural retreat for walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers, artists, golfers, fishermen and other water sports fans or those simply looking for rest and relaxation in a tranquil, idyllic setting that is the Pennines.

Derwent View Cottage has a 4 Star Gold award quality assessment by Visit England and offers open plan living accommodation with a well equipped kitchen containing both breakfast bar and separate dining table. The living area includes a wood burning stove with firewood provided, flat screen television with freeview and DVD player and free broadband is available so you can connect your devices to the WIFI. Full length glazed patio doors open onto extensive decking with uninterrupted south west facing views of the stunning North Pennines.
The Cottage contains one double bed bedroom with linens provided. The separate bathroom contains a bath with overhead shower (towels are also provided). Externally there is private parking for 2 cars.
The cottage is an ideal countryside retreat for couples wishing to relax and recharge those batteries!
